I did not know what to do because I felt cheated. The credit card company had charged me an amount for which I had not authorized them to do so. A couple of months back they sent me a message saying that they were providing me a life insurance policy along with the credit card. I did not need any life insurance so I ignored their message. Last month I found out that they charged me a premium for the life insurance. I called the customer care centre and told the lady at the other end that I had not asked for a life insurance policy along with my card. She told me that since I had not instructed the bank not to do so the bank had issued a policy and now I had to pay for it. I read a report titled consumer rights credit cards which said I could take the credit card company to the consumer court if they cheated. So now I have filed a complaint against the credit card company and am hoping for a positive result.
