An Art That Can Be Either Applauded Or Looked Down Upon

Graffiti is one of the fun forms of western street art. If you look at an artist like Banksy, you can see what can be achieved with a few spray cans, some stencils and a brain loaded with talent and imagination. And yet, even if you aren’t the next Banksy, it doesn’t matter – it’s all about expression. It is an art where people either scribble letterings or draw abstract paintings on the public walls to express themselves, in order to communicate a certain message. It is also used to mark territory by underworld gangs as well as an indicator of their latest activities. People generally use spray cans, paint, or markers for this. In most places around the globe its considered public nuisance and is punishable by law. On a personal note graffiti is an art that can be either misused for personal merriment or positively to bring about awareness, whichever depends on perpetrators intentions.
