I felt cheated because the car dealer had not informed me about the new tax structure on purchase of new vehicles. I wanted to buy a new 4×4 SUV for the last few months and I had researched quite a lot about the different brands available in my city. I finally decided to buy SUV from Toyota since they had a service centre near my house. I went to the authorized distributor to book my new SUV. He told me everything about the SUV and even offered me help to secure a loan to buy the SUV but he failed to mention to me about the new car tax. When I purchased the vehicle and took it for registration I was told that I had to pay an additional amount as car tax. I was told that the new car tax amounts would be used to upgrade the facilities at the registration office. I had no option but to pay the additional amount but I did not appreciate the fact that the dealer did not provide me with this information.
