Is Locking Yourself In A Room A Good Method To Prevent The Checking Ocd Symptom?
Sep 1st
My friend John who has been suffering from OCD for several years (at least this is what his “great” doctor said last time when he passed thought that complicated and expensive diagnosis process) recently decided that the only way to stop his obsessive compulsive disorders related to always “checking” if stuff is ok around him (ex: “did I properly lock my car?” or “did I manage to close that fridge door?” or “why is my cant sleeping so much?”) is to be locked in a certain room and have some classic relaxing music playing. While this might be a good technique for the average stressed 9 to 5 Bob who is working his *ss in this strict routine rat race, it is not a very reliable idea to implement while trying to help those that really seek help in overcoming their compulsive disorders. No matter what your main OCD symptom is, it can be treated using natural methods, but not this one, believe me.
So begin seeking alternative ways to “release that white bear” that is hiding inside of you and that will inevitably help you totally scare away those crazy unwanted thoughts.
